Viticulture and wine-making is a celebrated tradition on the Pelješac Peninsula in southern Croatia. Each year from late-August through mid-September, the seaside village of Orebić comes alive with the excitement and anticipation of harvest.



The knowledge and techniques involved with hand-picking, crushing and fermenting grapes is passed down from generation to generation. During the harvest season, extended families, friends and neighbors gather on vineyards to lend a hand or sometimes a pair of feet for grape stomping.
